Philadelphia’s NPR affiliate recently hosted Labor 411 founder Cherri Senders and Patrick Eiding, the President of the Philadelphia Council of the AFL-CIO, to discuss a new pro-labor business guide. Labor 411 Philadelphia is available online here and a print version will be presented to thousands of attendees at the Democratic National Convention in late July.
Senders and Eiding spoke with NewsWorks Tonight host Dave Heller about the launch. “There are lots of jobs that have been created since the recession but we want good, quality jobs,” Senders said about the need for a Labor 411 Philadelphia. Eiding spoke highly of the partnership between the AFL-CIO and Labor 411, stating, “Here we had an opportunity to [display] all the great employers we have a partnership with.”
